Sentillion to Enhance Security and Expedite
Access to Patient Information Across the Health System
ANDOVER, MASSApril 4, 2005Sentillion,
Inc., the leading provider of identity and access management solutions
for the healthcare industry, announced today that AtlantiCare has
selected its Vergence® product suite to provide a single sign-on solution for physicians and clinicians.
The New Jersey-based AtlantiCare purchased Vergence SignOn Manager,
Authenticator, Context Manager, Privacy Auditor,
and LaunchPad to enable safe and secure access to its Cerner
Millennium®, Cerner PowerChart®, SoftMed ChartScript ESA®,
SoftMed ChartScript MD®, McKesson Star Navigator®, Algotec
Medisurf®, and QS Sentenial applications across its clinical
enterprise.
"AtlantiCare selected Sentillion because of its expertise
in working with diverse multi-vendor applications within the healthcare
field," said Judi Gladney, chief privacy officer for AtlantiCare.
"Context management was a major deciding factor in our choice
of a vendor. By logging in through this system, our care team can
access important patient information from a number of sources. Use
of Sentillion contributes to our improved efficiencies and continued
compliance with security and privacy standards. It also enhances
patient safety while saving time required to access patient information.
We always include our physicians, clinicians and technical information
staff in the selection process of clinical systems. Our project
team feels this product helps us meet access management challenges
while improving clinical workflow."
Vergence is a modularized suite that includes user provisioning,
strong authentication, single sign-on, clinical context management
and privacy auditing. Sentillion's products are already in use across
North America including nationally recognized institutions such
as Lahey Clinic, Marshfield Clinic, Sharp HealthCare, University
of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Fox Chase Cancer Institute, Cincinnati
Children's Hospital & Medical Center and all 163 Veterans' Affairs
