INTEGRIS HEALTH SELECTS SENTILLION TO ENHANCE
SECURITY AND EXPEDITE ACCESS TO PATIENT INFORMATION
Oklahoma's Largest Not-for-Profit Healthcare
Organization To Leverage Vergence® to Meet Its Identity and
Access Management Needs
ANDOVER, MA June 22, 2005 INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma's largest not-for-profit healthcare organization,
has selected Sentillion, the leading provider of identity and access
management solutions for healthcare, to enhance security and expedite
access to patient information across the health system. By leveraging
Sentillion's Vergence® products, INTEGRIS Health will be able to
meet the need for patient safety and privacy, streamlined workflows,
regulatory compliance, and protection of data and information sources.
INTEGRIS Health owns or leases hospitals, primary care clinics,
mental health facilities, rehabilitation centers, a fitness center,
hospice services, home health agencies and independent living centers
throughout the state of Oklahoma, including INTEGRIS Baptist Medical
Center and Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
INTEGRIS Health will use Sentillion's Vergence product suite to
provide strong authentication, single sign-on, single patient selection
and privacy management across its diverse set of applications, which
comprise INTEGRIS Health's unified electronic medical record initiative.
Vergence will improve caregiver workflow across all of INTEGRIS
Health's applications, including Cerner Millennium®,
GE Centricity QS Perinatal System, AllScripts Touchworks,
Camtronics VERICIS® and AGFA, among others. In addition, INTEGRIS
Health purchased Sentillion BridgeWorks®, a powerful tool that
allows healthcare organizations to quickly and easily develop their
own application-specific adapters, or Bridges, to enable any application
to work with Vergence.
"Our challenge is getting all our different record systems and
clinical applications integrated to work together, and to do it
in a way that is convenient and productive for doctors, nurses,
and the entire staff in order to ultimately enhance quality and
safe patient care delivery," said John Delano, Information Security
Officer, INTEGRIS Health. "We did an extensive evaluation which
started with 12 identity and access management vendors and after
a four month period that included customer site visits, clinical
input, seeing proven deployments similar in size to INTEGRIS Health,
we selected Sentillion. The decision came down to Sentillion's proven
ability to integrate with our current IT systems, their successful
deployments at sites similar in size and complexity to ours, and
its overall focus and commitment to delivering solutions that meet
both the needs of the caregivers and the IT department."
Vergence is a modularized suite that includes user provisioning,
strong authentication, single sign-on, clinical context management
and privacy auditing. Sentillion's products are already in use across
North America including nationally recognized institutions such
as Lahey Clinic, New York University Medical Center, Marshfield
Clinic, Sharp HealthCare, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center,
Fox Chase Cancer Institute, Cincinnati Children's Hospital & Medical
Center and all 163 Veterans' Affairs Medical Centers.
