SENTILLION UNVEILS SHARED WORKSTATION PERSONALIZATION
CAPABILITIES AT HIMSS
New Features Combine Fast User Sign On
with Personal Preferences to Increase Caregiver Productivity and
Satisfaction
ANDOVER, Mass. - February 14, 2006 - Today at the 2006 Annual Healthcare
Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference &
Exhibition, Sentillion, Inc., the leading provider of identity and
access management (IAM) solutions for the always-on healthcare industry,
announced the general availability of a sweeping series of enhancements
to the Shared Workstation Personalization capabilities of its Vergence®
Authenticator 2.9 product. Sentillion will be showcasing these new
features at the 2006 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition, February
13-16 in booth #5832.
Complementing Sentillion's Vergence single sign-on solution, Shared
Workstation Personalization combines the speed of Vergence-enabled
fast user logon pioneered by Sentillion with personalization features
generally expected for computers that are truly personal. These
enhancements enable caregivers who share personal computers throughout
a hospital to continue to single sign on and off in a matter of
seconds, and yet still take full advantage of traditional Windows
personalization features. A typical caregiver might sign on and
off tens of times per shift, and each shared workstation might have
dozens, even hundreds, of users during the course of a day. With
Shared Workstation Personalization, caregivers who use shared workstations
are now able to map personal drives, printers, and document folders,
to launch applications and processes as the Windows-authenticated
user, and to maintain personal preferences, such as email settings,
bookmarks, and desktop configuration.
"With our deep understanding of workflow in a healthcare organization,
we designed Shared Workstation Personalization to enable caregivers
to get the critical information they need quickly, securely and
now, in an environment that is personal even when they are not using
their own personal computer," said Nancy Ham, president of
Sentillion. "Our Shared Workstation Personalization represents
just one of Sentillion's innovations that are changing the way the
healthcare industry uses information technology to improve workflow
and secure patient data."
Sentillion's identity and access management products help healthcare
provider organizations meet their urgent need for patient safety
and privacy, streamlined workflows, regulatory compliance, and protection
of data and information sources. Sentillion's Vergence® product
suite enables organizations to know who their users are - identity
management - and to help them be productive while ensuring system
security and guarding patient confidentiality - access management.
Vergence is a modularized suite that includes user provisioning,
strong authentication, single sign-on, clinical context management
and privacy auditing. Sentillion's products are already in use across
