SENTILLION AMONG BOSTON BUSINESS JOURNAL'S "BEST PLACES TO WORK IN MASSACHUSETTS"
ANDOVER, Mass. - May 10, 2006 - Sentillion, Inc., the leading provider
of identity and access management (IAM) solutions for the always-on
healthcare industry, announced today that it has been recognized
as one of the "Best Places to Work in Massachusetts" by
the Boston Business Journal.
Now in its fourth year, the regional awards program recognizes
Massachusetts-area companies' achievements in creating positive
work environments that help to attract and retain employees through
a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company
culture. Andover-based Sentillion was one of more than 300 companies
to qualify for consideration, making the top-20 list in the midsize
company category, based on the results of employee satisfaction
surveys taken throughout the spring.
From the beginning days in 1999 when Sentillion's corporate headquarters
was in the co-founder's dining room to today, when newly expanded
offices house a growing staff of over 130 people, Sentillion has
been committed to fostering a positive work environment. Sentillion's
open and non-hierarchical culture stems from the belief that everything
an employee does should be in the best interest of the customer,
and everyone is equal in the service of that customer. Sentillion
takes particular pride in its open-door policy and strong internal
communications, including all-company meetings on Friday, easily
accessible managers, and an employee Intranet. In addition to offering
standard items such as competitive salaries, stock options and comprehensive
benefits, Sentillion maintains a number of perquisites more commonly
associated with the ".com" era, including round-the-clock
snacks and beverages, catered lunches on Friday, on-site ping-pong
tournaments, and a weekly on-site massage therapist and yoga instructor.
Sentillion is always looking to add great people to its team, and
a complete list of job openings can be found at: http://www.sentillion.com/about/employment.html.
"Sentillion prides itself on promoting a work environment
where innovation, creativity and dedication are encouraged and rewarded,"
said Nancy Ham, president, Sentillion. "Our number one asset
is our incredible team of employees, and we're proud that we've
been able to create for them a culture and a company that has been
recognized as a great place to work. Without their outstanding contribution
every day, we wouldn't be as successful as we are at growing our
business and delighting our customers."
The survey project was launched in January by the Boston Business
Journal in conjunction with market research firm QMR Inc. of Wichita,
Kansas. Companies were evaluated on the results of more than 20,000
employee-satisfaction surveys. Employees answered questionnaires
that addressed such factors as their pride in the company, company
encouragement, support and recognition of achievement and relationships
with co-workers and supervisors. The results were analyzed and scored
by assigning points to each question.
A countdown celebration breakfast will be held on June 22, 2006
to announce the final rankings, including the top company in each
category. Additional event information can be found online at http://events.bizjournals.com/2313.
