SENTILLION® VBUSINESS MAKES VTHERE
REMOTE ACCESS SOFTWARE AVAILABLE FOR EVALUATION
Company Provides Risk-Free Opportunity For Potential Customers And Value-Added Resellers To Experience A New Paradigm For Remote Access
ANDOVER, Mass. - September 14, 2006 - In response to the highly successful
launch and industry response to vThere, Sentillion vBusiness,
a division of Sentillion, Inc., today announced that it will offer
potential customers and value-added resellers the opportunity to
receive an evaluation copy of vThere. The first virtualized, server-less
remote access solution that delivers exactly the same application
access, user experience and security as if the user were physically
in the enterprise, vThere launched in July 2006.
Paul Roscoe, president of Sentillion vBusiness, said that the evaluation
license represents an excellent opportunity for organizations--from
any industry--to experience first-hand how vThere can reduce the
cost, complexity and performance limitations inherent with today's
alternatives for remote access.
"vThere is a radically different approach to remote access,
unlike any solution available today," said Roscoe. "Customers
have already purchased and quickly deployed vThere with great success.
As a result, we want to provide the opportunity to prospective customers
and resellers to experience the full impact that vThere will have
on their organization."
Duplicating the office computing environment on a remote computer,
vThere enables workers in sales, IT, finance, customer service,
human resources, or any other function, to work remotely and have
access to the same applications and network resources as if they
were working in their corporate office location.
vThere's virtual security model protects the enterprise from exposure
to viruses, worms, or spyware, which may be present on a remote
user's PC. In addition, IT departments can extend the reach of the
enterprise and manage remote users in the same manner as if they
were physically in the enterprise. Since vThere is treated as a
managed machine on the network domain and is authenticated against
the enterprise's directory system, the user is subject to the same
security policies, procedures and access rights--regardless of their
physical location.
The full-function vThere evaluation software will allow IT administrators
to build a vThere image, install applications for remote users to
access and distribute the vThere software in a test environment.
A limited number of evaluation copies are being made available and
interested parties can apply for an evaluation license through the
vThere Web site, www.vthere.net. The evaluation period lasts up
to 30 days.
