MEMORIAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM ROLLING OUT SENTILLION'S
SINGLE SIGN-ON SOLUTION TO 7,000 USERS
Physicians
Accessing Multiple Applications Quickly and Easily with a Single
Set of User Credentials; IT Staff SSO-enabling Applications Using
BridgeWorks
ANDOVER, Mass. - November 15, 2006 - Sentillion, Inc. today announced
that Memorial Healthcare System, a four time recipient of the "100
Most Wired Hospitals" award and one of South Florida's leading
healthcare systems, is engaged in an enterprise-wide deployment
of Sentillion's single sign-on (SSO) capabilities. This expansion
follows the daily use of Sentillion's single sign-on and single
patient selection capabilities within each of Memorial's five hospital
pharmacies for several years.
The current deployment of Sentillion's technology will eventually
provide more than 7,000 doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel
with the ability to access multiple applications, including GE Centricity
Enterprise (formerly known as IDX Carecast), GE Centricity RIS-IC
(formerly known as IDX Imagecast) and a home-grown mainframe application,
quickly and easily with a single set of user credentials. The system's
fast-user switching capabilities are enhancing both clinical workflow
and security of patient information. The solution, centered on Sentillion's
SignOn Manager, is the only single sign-on solution to be recognized
by KLAS®, the sole research and consulting firm specializing
in the monitoring and performance reporting of health care information
technology vendors.
As proof of the organization's self-sufficiency in integrating
applications into their growing SSO portfolio, MHS personnel have
already developed integration links to more than a dozen clinical
and non-clinical applications using Sentillion's BridgeWorks and
BridgeBuilder products. "The point and click capabilities in
the BridgeBuilder product makes it both fast and easy to add new
applications to our SSO environment any time we want," said
Forest Blanton, chief information officer, Memorial Healthcare System.
"We always will be evaluating and deploying promising technologies
that benefit our physicians and nurses and improve patient care
and safety."
Dr. Stanley Marks, chief medical officer at Memorial Healthcare
System indicated how pleased MHS has been with the entire Sentillion
integration on this critical project. "This has been a collaborative
partnership. The level of attention and commitment we have received
from Sentillion has met our expectations," said Dr. Marks.
"Everyone from senior management to the implementation team
has been completely focused on our goals and making sure the project
is a success. We have been receiving positive feedback from our
physicians, who are already using the technology."
Sentillion's Vergence platform is comprised of a suite of tools
that includes single sign-on, context management, application provisioning,
and privacy auditing - all available and deployable as individual
products, or a complete solution for identifying and managing users.
