SENTILLION’S CUSTOMERS SURPASS QUARTER MILLION LIVE USERS MILESTONE
Healthcare’s Most Widely Implemented Identity and Access Management Solution Used Daily by More Than 275,000 Caregivers Accessing Over 500 Applications
ANDOVER, Mass. – May 14, 2007 – Sentillion, Inc. announced that its customers have surpassed the quarter million live users milestone, with more than 275,000 caregivers live on Sentillion’s identity and access management (IAM) solutions. Already recognized as the most widely implemented IAM solution, which includes single sign-on (SSO), single patient selection, privacy auditing, user provisioning and virtualized remote access, this latest tally of live users is almost double the number of live users since last year.
Sentillion serves organizations of all sizes, ranging from organizations seeking a localized solution for a few hundred users to those with more than a thousand users across the organization. Sentillion is responsible for the largest single sign-on and single patient selection implementations in healthcare and has successfully brought 81 healthcare organizations live on its IAM solutions, including 29 organizations with more than 1,000 live users, six organizations with over 5,000 users and seven organizations that have exceeded the 10,000 live user level. Healthcare organizations that use Sentillion’s solutions include Parkview Health, Sharp HealthCare, Sisters of Mercy Health System, Tenet Healthcare, University of Michigan Health System, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
The ongoing success of Sentillion’s customers is a direct result of the ability of Sentillion’s solutions to integrate comprehensively with over 500 clinical and business applications, including the leading health information systems from Cerner®, Eclipsys®, Epic Systems, GE Healthcare®, McKesson, and MEDITECH. Further, this go-live success is a testament to Sentillion’s intense focus on bringing healthcare organizations live quickly and within budget as exemplified by fixed implementation fees and proven methodologies for implementing within a wide variety of complex healthcare environments, including remote hosted and Citrix® solutions.
”As with any IT project that is going to affect a user population as large and as critical as physicians and nurses, there is always some apprehension around the vendor’s ability to support an enterprise-wide deployment,” said Margaret Thomas, vice president of client services for Sentillion. “But those are the kinds of projects we routinely take on and manage successfully. It takes planning and attention to detail, but once the customer is ready we can move them fairly rapidly from the planning stage right through to bringing them live.”
Additionally, Sentillion’s customers implement more than just single sign-on. The company reported that 90% of its single-sign on customers have also implemented its single patient selection capabilities either as part of their initial deployment or as a follow-on project. Other organizations have very successfully rolled out the company’s provisioning, auditing, remote access and authentication solutions.
“What is really rewarding for us is the flexibility of our modular suite of products to start a customer relationship focused on their greatest point of pain and make a real difference,” said Nancy Ham, president of Sentillion. “We start some implementations with single sign-on and others with user provisioning, depending on what makes the most sense for the customer. As the customer wants to expand their IAM solution set, they can add products to the deployment over time, leveraging the power of a solution that is sold in modular steps but designed from the ground up to work together seamlessly.”
