TEXAS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL CHOOSES SENTILLION TO EXPEDITE CREATION OF USER ACCOUNTS ASSOCIATED WITH $1.5 BILLION HOSPITAL EXPANSION

Solution Will Reduce the Time and Effort Needed To Add New Users and Control the Life Cycle of Accounts in Epic and Other Clinical Applications

ANDOVER, Mass. – June 25, 2007 – Sentillion, Inc. today announced that Texas Children’s Hospital located in Houston, TX is adding Sentillion’s Provisioning Manager to its existing deployment of the company’s single sign on and single patient selection solutions.  Currently in the midst of an enormous $1.5 billion hospital expansion, the hospital will use Provisioning Manager to create and manage user accounts throughout their lifecycle.

Provisioning Manager will expedite the process for adding new Microsoft Active Directory® and Microsoft Exchange® accounts as well as accounts for accessing the Epic® electronic medical record system and PeopleSoft® applications. Provisioning Manager will also keep track of each transaction whenever application access is granted, modified, suspended or removed as well as details of all privileges granted.

“With this system we will have an accurate and up to date electronic trail of exactly who has access to which applications,” said Jason Roos, manager of network services and data security. “We will also be able to easily and quickly create accounts as well as rapidly suspend or terminate accounts for people who should no longer have access.”

In addition to these capabilities Sentillion was selected because of its modular product suite. This allowed Texas Children’s Hospital to start with single sign-on and single patient selection and add provisioning and other capabilities at a later point in time. The hospital was also impressed by Sentillion’s understanding of user provisioning for clinical applications. David Finn, vice president and CIO of Texas Children’s Hospital said, “Other vendors we considered just didn’t understand provisioning as it relates to clinical applications. When we spoke to Sentillion we were very impressed. They were not only speaking our language but they really understood the unique challenges of healthcare provisioning. They were able to address all of our pain points, and clearly had the best solution for us.”

The provisioning solution supplies additional value to the existing single sign-on and single patient selection solutions already in use. Yvonne Bachert, director of patient systems and solutions said, “With our SSO project, Sentillion showed us how they could reduce our sign-on time from minutes down to less than 10 seconds. Their team really exceeded our expectations during that implementation. They were very flexible and helped us through a number of issues that other vendors would not address.”

Nationally ranked as being in the top five children’s hospitals by both Child magazine and U. S. News & World Reports, Texas Children’s Hospital is one of only three freestanding children’s hospitals to receive the coveted Magnet Award for nursing excellence. The current $1.5 billion expansion is the largest ever for a children’s hospital.
